Time of Monsters
A compilation of a semester's work, creating the website "Time of Monsters" was my answer to the final assignment for my Worldsmith Class.
As a lifelong Godzilla fan, I knew from the get-go that I wanted to build a world where the existence of Monsters is treated as realistically as possible, going from a world-changing phenomenon to a simple fact of life. With that thesis in mind, it made sense to create a website existing inside of that universe, styled after the current trend of explanatory journalism one might see in Vox or Our World In Data – Time of Monsters being heavily modeled after the former. This would allow for the site to instantly feel relatable and contemporary, making the dissonance of seeing our world filled with giant monsters all the more impactful.
