These Days: The world of Monsters
Juxtaposition is maybe the most useful tool for any storyteller, and one of the oldest tricks is to contrast the mundane and the fantastical. With that in mind, I take one of my favorite movies Monsters and create imagery that might exist in a world where giant octopus creatures roam northern Mexico. However, in this case, it isn't the mundane contrasting the fantastical, but rather the mundane contrasting the mundane, and finding the weirdness that exists in between.

On the Air
One of the most common trends in disaster movies is to make use of news footage, as it makes the stories feel more real. However, I always wonder, what would it be like inside the offices of CNN as they scramble to cover stories that to us, seem flat-out impossible? How would producers, editors, and graphic artists, respond to a giant radioactive lizard rising out of the ocean thousands of miles away?
Time of Monsters
In 2028 Godzilla makes landfall in Los Angeles, marking the dawn of a new era; a time of monsters. Here are glimpses of that new world, one where attacks by giant monsters have become a part of everyday life.
